Fiber Optic Loopback is also known as loopback plug or loopback adapter, is typically used for testing the transmission capability and receiver sensitivity of network equipment. Fiber loopback provides system test engineers a simple but effective way of testing the transmission capability and receiver sensitivity of network equipment. Normally fiber optic loopback has different types of fiber connectors and fiber cable. SC, LC, MTRJ, E2000 and MPO Fiber loopback are common types, and SM and MM fiber types are optional.
